Resin Art, Limited Editions & Hand-Embellished Prints

There's been a steady stream of busy here. I continue working on the site and now have added prints that were not available previously. Since getting off work, that's pretty much the mode I've been in. A banana for snack but I need to get something more substantial. I resisted the pizza because I'm trying to do better, so I've opted for the curry chicken and spinach.  In the midst of it all, I'm engrossed in Married at First Sight. It takes a special set of people to do that sort of thing. Anyway... One thing that popped in my head today,...

Studio Happenings

I received the canvas prints I ordered yesterday, which I will embellish a bit. Never done before so I'm hoping it comes out as I visualize it. Although I'm still trying to get clear on that and that needs to happen by tomorrow morning. There are 2 of them and I still have the resin prints to work on as well. I need to hire someone. Next task? Initiate a campaign for...

Juggling Art and Home

Today was an administrative day. What did that entail? Taking photos and editing them, prepping the website (because I have one more day on my trial), and getting the site together in general. I also had laundry, cooking and cleaning. My word for 2019 is organization. Until yesterday, I'd actually forgotten but the last 48 hours have me 75% there.  Yet, I have some paperwork to do still and a couple of commitments I've made to family members, which should be in order no later than Tuesday. Although the site will launch in the next 24 hours, I still have a great...

Miniatures as Color Studies

Miniatures as Color Studies

Since I've restarted larger works and trying to change the texture on flesh, I started small compositions on miniature canvases to practice color, as well as technique. What turned out was actually the only way I could develop the work. You see, miniatures haven't been a common format in the past, especially not anything as small as 4 x 4 inches.  The challenge for miniatures is getting detailed and multiple elements into a small space so that it has the same significance as any larger work I've done. I'm currently stuck on a 4 x 4 foot piece for...
