I am a folk artist, located in Conyers, Georgia, a suburb on the outskirts of Atlanta. Raised in Atlanta, my work is often inspired by my southern upbringing. As well, I have an affinity to the 70s. I love the fashion, music, the social and political transitioning that was happening for African Americans and I've a curious nature surrounding the hippie movement. I received a BFA from The Art Institute of Atlanta and a Masters in Education.
My artistic practice thrives on building layers through wood, paper, and textures. I have created a lifestyle surrounding my work, composing many works on humanity's beauty, frailties and flaws, urban culture, and humor. Through my work, my hope is to invoke connections representing the humanness in us all while giving viewers the truest version of myself. For inquiries, please reach out to me via the contact page. I'd love to hear from you.
